No more boring laundry room!

No more boring laundry room! We added new raised panel doors to existing white laminate cabinets and we added two new upper cabinets with rollout shelves over the sink and refrigerator to organize clutter and tuck it behind doors. We installed black granite tile with black epoxy grout and polished edges to cover up white laminate countertops. Walls were painted a soft slate grey, and an ivory travertine and slate mosaic backsplash ties the soft pallet together with the new 24" travertine tile floor. The travertine is warm, elegant and incredibly forgiving of the tracking-in that little feet do! Functional items like a drying rod, a basket for extra sunglasses close to the door, a wall hung organizer from Ikea that holds phone chargers, golf balls and extra golf tees along with sturdy storage baskets above the cabinets make this room a superstar work center.
An antique oil painting, circa 1943, is framed and hung above the laundry sink to add a pop of welcoming color inside the back door. It's not quite a foyer, but it is a working entry that meets just about every need! Please go to our Website to see full "after" photos of this project.
What a gorgeous change!
